Dinner Time! Yeah!

Here's a picture of Anna and Mommy getting excited about the impending feeding. Anna is looking forward to 4oz of milk, and Mommy is looking forward of the 3 hours of sleep she'll get after the feeding!

What's up, Doc?

This is a shot of Anna at her two-week checkup with her nice pediatrician, Dr. Binder. Aside from a little wailing when they cut her heel for her PKU test (and who can blame her for that?), she was a little trooper for the doctor. She did create a nice little present for him in her diaper...isn't she thoughtful?

Cousin Finn

Here's Anna's cousin Finn, Auntie Lees and Uncle Shawn's cute little guy. Finn is MUCH older (6 months!), and is very anxious to pass his aged wisdom on to Anna.

Nana's Visit

Nana (Clint's mom) just wrapped up a great visit! She helped out a lot and cooked us so much food that we'll still be eating it when Anna is two! And from the picture, you can see that Anna and Nana got along just fine (I pretty sure they were both quite fond of each other). It was great to see her and the three of us can't wait to visit her place up in Cleveland soon!

Mmmm...pizza...

Here's Anna at one of Mommy and Daddy's favorite places...pizza buffet! As you can see in the background, she finished off 6 slices of pizza, 2 pizza rolls, and 3 glasses of rootbeer. The American Pediatric Association recommend to keep them off solid food this early, but we think they're full of it.

Family ties...

Its so nice to have family so close at a time like this! My parents and Aunt Judy and Uncle Gordy came to visit us this past weekend.

Better late than never...

So...this picture is a little late getting posted (since I'm not actually pregnant anymore!). This is a shot from the BEAUTIFUL shower that my wonderful girlfriends Whitney, Sabrina, and Mandy hosted for me here in Clear Lake. Lunch Date

Anna had her first non doctor or hospital-related trip this week...here's Susan and Anna at La Madeline. The three of us went out to lunch and had a good time- and Anna did great for her first trip into the rest of the world!

The Kincaid's Bring Dinner

Holly Kincaid and her kids Sarah and David stopped by to bring us dinner on Monday night (mmm...fajitas...)! Holly's husband Mike (who couldn't make it because he's on a rotation to NASA HQ in Washington DC) was the co-op director who hired both Susan and I, so he is indirectly responsible for Anna being around! Also, Sarah was the flower girl in our wedding. We had a great time visiting with them and the food was awesome. Thanks again, guys!

Bath Time

Here's our first crack at giving Anna a bath. I think she's hoping Mommy and Daddy will get a little better at this, but all-in-all she was pretty tolerant of our first effort. And it all paid off when she got to wear her frog towel at the end...

Zzzzzzzzz

It's obviously pretty exhausting being a 1 week old. Here, Anna can't quite muster the energy to wake up and feed.

Everyone here is doing fine. Anna is already sleeping through the night, making us breakfast in bed every morning, and earning $50k/year in internet trading. Whoa, sorry, I think I feel asleep there for a second. But she is sleeping for 3-3 1/2 hours at a time, feeding regularly, and is pretty mild mannered! We couldn't ask for anything more out of someone just short of her 1 week birthday.

On the way home...

Here's a pic of Anna on the way home from the hospital on Wednesday. As you can see, she has quite a ways to go before she comes anywhere near outgrowing the car seat...

WELCOME, ANNA!

Well, here she is! Anna arrived yesterday (March 6th, 2006) at 6:03pm. She was 6 lbs, 14 ozs, 19 inches long, and very happy and content (once the hard part was over!)... she even gave Mom and Dad a few hours of sleep during the night! Everyone is doing great, and we'll most likely be headed home from the hospital tomorrow. Many more pics and stories will follow...

I'm getting a sister?!?

We're not quite sure yet how Lily is going to handle having a new bundle of joy around the house. She tends to enjoy keeping a lot of our attention for herself these days. But, she does seem to making an effort to welcome her new sister by "trying out" some of her things for her...now we just have to figure out how to keep her out of Anna's Moses basket once Anna actually gets here...

A night out (one of our last for a while?)

We never know which night is going to be our last before Miss Anna arrives! We went down to the Kemah boardwalk with friends (pictured above: Tim, Melanie, Ben, and Chip) last night. My contractions got pretty bad by the end of the night...we weren't sure but what she was on her way! But, it turned out to just be a false alarm...she's not quite ready for her grand debut yet!

Clint's SURPRISE Work Shower

Clint's work colleagues were so sweet to plan him a SURPRISE baby shower! I convinced him I was having a craving for Mr. Gatti's pizza and that we were meeting some friends there, and he bought it! I think he was truly surprised...
